Teen Information
All meetings are at Good Shepherd UMC located at 9555 N. Oak Trafficway, KC MO 64155. It is important that teens are at all meetings to ensure they are properly prepared for Day Camp. We ask that you report absences to the Teen Coordinators beforehand.
January 26th | 1:00pm to 3:00pm | 12:00pm to 3:00pm for 6th and 7th graders
February 23rd | 1:00pm to 3:00pm | 12:00pm to 3:00pm for 6th and 7th graders
March 9th | 1:00pm to 3:00pm | All teens
April 13th | 12:00pm to 5:00pm | All teens
May 18th | 1:00pm to 3:00pm | All teens
Day camp registration OPENS: March 1st
Day camp registration CLOSES: March 15th
Teen Meetings Purpose
To provide training to our teen leaders. Meetings will include:
Team building activities
Program Aide Training
Leadership building skills
Fun activities, crafts, and games
Time Commitment:
It is important for teen leaders to attend as many teen meetings as possible. Attending and actively participating in each meeting is truly the only way to be 100% ready for camp and have the best Girl Scout leadership experience. Please let a teen coordinator know if you have a conflict with attending one of these meetings. We will do our best to work with you to ensure you can fully participate in a leadership role at day camp.

Expectations
To be effective leaders and be prepared for Day Camp, teens are expected to:
Stay up to date with information on the website and Day Camp Teens Facebook Group**
Attend Teen Meetings to plan programming
Arrive at camp and planning meetings ready to lead. Leave all electronics (except cell phones) and distractions at home.
Follow the Girl Scout Law, Promise, and Mission
Follow the Camp Code of Conduct
Complete the Teen Agreement
Complete the Teen Guiding Values Agreement
Treat the campers with respect and patience
Bring ideas and a team player mindset to meetings and Day Camp
Follow the guidelines set by the Teen Coordinators
Communicate any concerns, absences, and needs to the Teen Coordinators through daycampsu606@gmail.com

The day camp team appreciates our teens willingness to expand their leadership skills by working with younger Girl Scouts this summer. We value their commitment to the preparation process. We couldn't do day camp without them. Please read the Teen Mentor Bill of Rights below. If you have a concern, please reach out to a teen coordinator.
